In a digital world, investors appear to give less and less importance to real assets. Real assets, including commodities, real estate and collectibles, are at their lowest level compared to financial assets in almost a century. Real assets are scarce by nature compared to the abundant issuance of new bonds and equities needed to keep our economies going. In a world where benign inflation returns, there is therefore in our opinion a case to be made for commodities, real assets and collectibles.
